Chef Michel Portos a été nommé le « Chef de l'année 2012 » par Gault Millaut &. Il a travaillé à « La Maison Troisgros » à Roanne, restaurant trois étoiles Michelin retrouvée & GaultMillau: « le meilleur restaurant Français dans le monde ». Michel chef plus tard a ouvert son propre restaurant « Côté Théâtre » à Perpignan gagner une étoile au Michelin, puis rejoint le Saint-James à Bouliac, où il a obtenu deux étoiles au guide Michelin. Maintenant, il cuisine un aliment plus simple, encore plus frais et plus créatif dans ses restaurants, le « Malthazar » et « Le Poulpe » à Marseille.
